The Doctoral School of Hungarian Studies has been organizing its own institutional conference every year since 2010. Its purpose is to strengthen the professional ties and solidarity of doctoral students, to foster intensive dialogue among doctoral supervisors about the students’ work, and, last but not least, to provide an institutional presentation of the doctoral students’ progress for those interested. The conference is organized by doctoral students, for whom both the organization itself and the editing of the conference’s peer-reviewed volume constitute an important opportunity for professional socialization.
